All tutoring at YoungEducation tuition centres is in line with the National Curriculum and is designed to improve confidence and subject knowledge.
Group Tuition Timetable
Our group tuition sessions have a maximum of 6 students in each group and are delivered by well qualified tutors with indepth knowledge in their subjects. Group sessions run throughout the academic year with the exception of Christmas Holidays and Summer Holidays.

What is the Hitchin Tuition Centre?
Hitchin Tuition Centre is a purpose design centre with well equiped facilities that provide an environment conducive to learning. Located in the heart of historic market town of Hitchin our Centre is situated of the famous Market Place. Hitchin Tuition Centre is part of YoungEducation Tutors and is currently the biggest tuition centre in Hitchin, delivering tutoring to over 500 students per week.

How long does each session last?
All sessions are 1 hour.
How will the tutor know what my child needs help with?
All students take a baseline assessment when starting with us. The tutor will assess strengths and weaknesses and this will be used to plan tuition going forward. Students can also let their tutor know if there is anything they would like to focus on.
How do you check your tutors background?
All our tutors hold an enhanced Disclosure and barring service check (DBS) which is updated every year. Further to this we also comply with the Department for Education guidelines on safer recruitment. Therefore, all tutors go through numerous rigorous checks such as proof of identity, list 99 check, prohibition from teaching check, qualification check, reference checks and right to work in the UK.
Will i receive feedback?
Tutors are available for feedback at the request of parents/guardians. But, all tutors complete reports which are available online along with our online progress tracker. .
Do you use computers?
At Hitchin tuition centre we believe in the conventions methods of teaching and are huge fans of pen and paper. Although using computers may work for other organisations we operate our lessons on a strictly pen, paper and whiteboard method to reflect that of a school environment.
Will my child be tutored by a 6th Form student?
Simply put, No! At Hitchin tuition centre we pride ourselves on recruiting subject specialist teachers who must meet our minimum requirements of having at least a 2:1 degree in the subject they will be tutoring. Whilst we understand that students have a lot to offer we believe that every tutor should have the indebt knowledge of their subject which can only be required from studying a degree.
Does tutoring follow the National Curriculum?
Yes, all tutoring is in line with the national curriculum.
What qualifications do tutors have?
All our tutors have a degree in their subject or a closely related degree.
How many students are in group sessions?
Our groups are a maximum of 6 students.
Will my child get homework?
Yes, all students are given 30 minutes of homework.
What happens if i cant attend a session?
If you are unable to attend a session we run the same groups on alternative days which you can attend in place of a lesson missed. However, if due to numbers that we are unable to offer an alternative group then, unfortunately, no refund will be made.
