The role
What a youth mentor does here
Our mentors work alongside qualified teachers and specialist staff as part of one personalised programme, rather than as a separate service bolted on the side.
- Build trusting relationships so young people feel safe and ready to learn
- Support emotional regulation, confidence and self-esteem
- Encourage engagement with practical and creative pathways
- Work closely with teachers, families and other professionals
- Help young people prepare for education, training and adulthood
