Most students remember that when Differentiating and/or Integrating sin and cosine, that the sin goes to cos and vice versa. However, what is often hard to remember is whether they are positive or negative. Half the battle in exams is understanding the words used in questions, so that you can identify what sort of answer is required. Once you understand what these phrases or words actually mean, this should give you clues about the type of answer and detail that the examiner requires.
